What if we told you that you can rent a whole quinta for the same or less than a hotel?
When you want something really unique and personalized consider a boutique hotel.

What you Should Know about Bolivian Hotels

ESPAÑOL You'll find all types of hotels in Bolivia, from cheap discount to hostels to luxury hotels and resorts. Knowing which hotels in Bolivia are worth booking a reservation is another matter, as many have "self-appointed stars". The various city hotel chambers do their best but have trouble keeping their hotel lists updated.

Usually "hoteles" are 3-5 star hotels by US and European standards. Anything under that, even if it has the word "hotel" in the name is most likely a hostel (hostal), a "residencial" (short or long term cheap rooms) or an "alojamiento" (mostly used by truckers and bus drivers). In Bolivia you'll also find many beautiful resorts and eco-resorts (called the same in Spanish), vacation rentals (usually called "cabañas") and even campgrounds where you can pitch a tent (which Bolivians call "campings").
