Tips on where to stay

Hi there, I'm only thinking of spending two months maybe in Bolivia. The government goofed up my working visa by home, so now I'm stuck here for a few months.

All I want to do is be a gym rat in a high quality gym, and study online. Also I'll need good markets for good, fresh food for the gym, and a place with decent internet.

I'm in La Paz now but I've been sick and haven't seen anything.

Where would you guys recommend for me to stay?

I only need a little one bedroom, comfy place, somewhere to cook.

La Paz is cold and rainy which isn't awesome, apparently zona sur is nicer, which I will check out.

I prefer a little more modern, I've had my fair share of rugged the last 6 months :)

But anyway, any tips would be great.
