How long does it take to adopt a 15 year old if she is my friend's daughter?

Hello, well i am a citizen, American but i want to adopt my friend's daughter. She's 15 years old. How long would it take me? And do I have to come live to Bolivia to do the adoption? Can't I do it in the U.S.A?

For national adoptions in Bolivia, you have to live in the country at least 2 years, For an international adoption can take a very long time. The best option is to adopt her in US, first she has to have US residence.
