Carnaval in Oruro one of my top 10!

It was very difficult to arrange our Oruro trip from Los Angeles, but I have to say that it was worth it. This has to be one of the best in the world. The first day Saturday is the best, on Sunday the drunks start dancing with the groups and it is not that fun, unless you are young and drunk. Arrange the trip in La Paz, there are a ton of agencies offering packages. We stayed at the Hotel Briggs, nice, fairly new and clean. The manager helped us book the balcony of the Plaza Hotel. The best place to see it in confort and not get plastered with water ballons. This certainly was the highlight of our trip to Bolivia. El salar de Uyuni is another must see place. The best hotel there is Tambo Aymara.
