Yellow Fever Vac Requirement for Elderly

My father wants to visit, but his doctor tells him the yellow fever vaccine is not recommended for persons over 60 years old. Can he have this vaccine requirement waived somehow (doctor's note, etc)?

your father doesn't need the vaccine

Most immigration points are not asking to see the yellow fever vaccine certificate any more (but you never know, it just sort of depends on what region you are visiting), but all your father needs is a letter from his doctor stating he recommends against it. He should carry that letter and show it to immigration when he arrives (if they even ask for it).
