Hi. I'm a US citizen. I'm applying for a tourist visa; I'd like to travel by land. I'm not sure exactly where I will enter or on what date. The requirements on the Los Angeles consulate website say that I must either have a hotel reservation or an invitation from a Bolivian. If I'm not sure about either, what should I do? For instance, I will be flying out of Santa Cruz on a specific date... could I make a hotel reservation for the night before my departure from Santa Cruz, even though I will be entering Bolivia several weeks before that, somewhere else? Thanks for your help.

PS Bella, I entered your photo contest ten years ago with a photo of La Paz. I've always wanted to see your side of Bolivia. Here I come!

So great you are traveling to Bolivia!

Yay! You need to have a reservation for the total amount of days you will stay in Bolivia. This means, from the day you arrive until the day you leave. But that is just for entry into the country. Once you're in the country, you can change your reservation to one or more different hotels if you plan to travel around. Have a blast!
