Quecha Language and Culture Institute to Open in Cochabamba, Bolivia

The State Government of Cochabamba and the Bolivian Ministry of Education have destined Bs. 1,250,000 to fund the creation and operation of a Quechua Language Institute in the area of Cliza, Cochabamba to be called the "Instituto de la Lengua y Cultura de la Nación Quechua Tomás Katari-Kurusa Llave".


The institute was inaugurated last week by Bolivian President, Evo Morales on a 13-hectare property donated by the Mayor's Office of Cliza. Both the Quechua language and culture will be taught at this institute. Read full article in Spanish.
