The new Pakistani resturant is called Shahana Taj and is located at No. 513 Av. Aniceto Padilla in Cochabamba. This is one of the best resturants in Cochabamba if not Bolivia. I visited the resturant for the first time a little over a month ago now I eat there at least twice a week. The owner Nasim sticks to the traditional Pakistani recipies and the results are a delicious blend of flavors unique to his resturant. Selections are beef, chicken and vegetarian based on the main menu, with lamb, fish and seafood on the special menu. Prices run from 35 to around 70Bs. It's a small place with about six indoor tables and two outdoor tables and most nights the resturants fills up by 8PM. Customers are a mix of foreigners, visitors and locals and most are repeat customers. Once you visit the Shahana Taj you will be hooked and if you just know the resturant by a visit to Cochabamba, you will look for any excuse to come back. Business is so good Nasin is looking for a bigger location with the possibility to expand to other cities in the future. The Shahana Taj adds an international flavor to Cochabama dining a very nice addition to the traditional Bolivian food offered here.
