Money money money

I'm Reading Marching powder & I think it is amazing. If San pedro is exactly how it is in the book then tourists are paying for tours & helping inmates to survive. I would happily pay for a tour. It's a different culture, it's an experience which prisoners are happy to share & get benefits from. I don't see what the issue is. Families are having to stay elsewhere?? It's a corrupt prison, they shouldn't be there in the first place.
