La Taverne Restaurant in Sucre: French Fabulous...What Else?

by BoliviaBella.com
(Sucre, Bolivia)

La Taverne is a French restaurant located inside the Alianza Francesa in Sucre, Bolivia and is very much worth a visit. True to the French, the food is awesome with just-right portions that are not too big, and really good wine (OK I'll admit, the wine was Bolivian).

We ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce and the "ensalada de queso de cabra" (goat cheese salad). The salad was ordered out of pure curiosity and what a find! Both cooked and raw vegetables topped with toasted bread and melted cheese and red rose petals dripping with honey! Unusual and truly delicious!

La Taverne has an outside patio and a smaller indoor restaurant. If you make plans to splurge a little just once in Sucre, try La Taverne.

Calle Aniceto Arce Nº 35
(Inside the Alianza Francesa, just 1/2 block from the central plaza)
