Is it safe to eat fresh produce in Santa Cruz?

As an American for 2 weeks in Santa Cruz, I am wondering if the fresh produce is safe to eat raw after rinsing with water..

FRUIT AND VEG
by: Paul

Hi. The water here is good, so its ok to drink and for using to wash fruit and veg. Don't sweat it. Good luck, Paul.

(I´m from the USA and have lived here for 5 yrs.)

Yes, in my opinion and with my experience, the fresh produce is safe to eat after washing it thoroughly --- at ¨home¨.

However, I do not trust/buy/eat fresh strawberries here at all!

Also, I do not eat any lettuce or raw vegetable salads in restaurants here either.

If you order a hamburger, order it without lettuce.

I hope that you enjoy your visit here, in Bolivia!
