Visited Lagunillas for One Day by: BoliviaBella.com
I know you wrote this message a really long time ago and no one answered you. I was, by coincidence, in Lagunillas for one day last week. I was working in the hills in a very remote area about 5 miles away, so I didn't get to explore the town, but I remembered your message so I only had time to quickly snap some photos as we passed through. Lagunillas, it turns out, is an extremely teensy town. It took all of 1 minute to drive across its approximately 5 blocks. Lagunillas is located about 1.5 hours from Camiri. Lagunillas is named for the small lagoons that exist in the area. It is one of the remote regions where Che Guevara and his guerrilla fighters hid out. Today it is one of the stops along the Ruta del Che (Che Guevara Trail), a hiking tour that allows tourists to visit some of the sites Che and his men stayed at while they were in hiding.
I know this doesn't actually answer your question, but I thought you might like to see a portion of it. If you click on the small yellow button with the 4 arrows you can watch the slideshow in full screen. Enjoy. Bella from Minnesota.
