other than visa objeto determinado, prob not by: Anonymous
Just in case you aren't aware, if you are travelling on a US passport you will need to arrive in Bolivia on a visa objeto determinado. So you will need to arrange that in a Bolivian consulate in the US before you leave.
Is it just you or are you going with your children?
If just you, and unless you are coming here to get married or are already married to a Bolivian, or are coming here with a working spouse as far as I am aware there is no paperwork you can bring for the residency.
Once you are here you will be plunged into the papertrail with Interpol and criminal background checks and AIDS and tropical diseases tests.
You will also need to prove why you need to be in Bolivia (or why Bolivia needs you) eg a work contract or volunteer commitment and funds to support yourself.
I would use the time before you go making sure you can run your life online (bank accounts etc), sorting out other paperwork and spending time in the bath (bathtubs are rare here!)
