Bolivia Wildlife Volunteering

by Sara Boukhemkhem
(Bristol, North Somerset, England)

I am looking to go travelling in 2011 and would like to arrange a volunteering placement for maybe a 4-8 weeks possibly longer, I would like to work with big cats, and have a lot of experience of working with large animals as have owned, ridden and competed my own horses since the age of 6 and am now 27, I also have a lot of experience with dogs and cats and have worked with all as a form of employment and just for my own enjoyment. I would love to find out more about volunteering and would appreciate it if you could get in contact with me my email is boukhy@hotmail.com and my address is 52 Moorfield Road, Backwell, Bristol, BS48 3NY.

thanks
Sara

Madidi Travel Serere Reserve in Jungle
by: Kari

Serere is a private reserve about two hours upstream from Rurrenabaque by boat. It?s a conservation project. They may not have big cats or horses in there, but you maybe could help reintroduce orphaned monkey to wild. I am volunteering in Rurrenabaque office at the moment and I know, how important and appreciated any help is. You can check their webside http://www.ecobolivia.org/es/ or contact Marta who is in charge of volunteering programms and ask for more informations: volunteers@madidi-travel.com . I highly reccomend that place! Good luck in your volunteering and enjoy Bolivia!

Senda Verde:

It is located in beautiful Coroico, in a sheltered area 2 ½ hours (90 km) from the city of La Paz. Accessible by land, the retreat offers a diverse region of natural beauty and a true relief from traffic, noise and other stresses of modern life.

Senda Verde provides the best care possible for animals rescued from illegal trafficking in a natural environment and under technical and scientific conditions.
