Bolivia Hotel Review: Senses Boutique Hotel, Calle 24 Septiembre, Santa Cruz

Stayed in this hotel in November/December 2015. Will be staying in this hotel while coming and going from Samaipata in Jan/Feb 2017. Clean, comfortable rooms with modern ammenities. The decor in the common areas of the hotel is whimsical maybe even a little funky but it is dated. The reception staff speak English if you require that service and are patient with those who's Spanish has not yet been perfected.


Love the location right in the center of Santa Cruz. Adjoins the 24 Septiembre Plaza and the San Lorenzo Cathedral. If you are there on a Sunday after the evening Mass concludes you must join the Cruzanios doing the stroll through the Plaza.

Roof top pool was a real nice escape from the heat after a walking tour of the downtown core. If you are going to eat at the roof top restaurant, which I would recommend, try and get a table overlooking the Plaza.

You had a hot tub? I stayed in the premier suite at this hotel and must have missed the hot tub. I am not known for my keen sense of observation but that must be why I stay at Senses. The location is great and for a Prince Rupert BC hick this is first class. Wait to you see what the rest of Bolivia has to offer. :) I am back in January 2017 with travel companions who are booked into Senses on our way to Samipata. I will post an up-date in February 2017 when our group is back in Canada.

Sorry can't give the place that good of a rating. I stayed there and they couldn't figure out how to turn on the hot tub, and didn't seem to care. The location is excellent and maybe the staff has improved.
