Asparagus Torte?? Torta?

A distant friend of mine from Bolivia used to make what she called a "Torta/torte"?? it was with white bread, olives, chicken meat and asparagus with home made mayonnaise, not sure how the correct spelling is, however I loved it!! Looking to see if anyone has the recipe here and what it is called. It was several layers of white bread she said she soaked over night in milk??? and in between all the layers of bread was the homemade mayo, olives, chicken and asparagus. Does anyone know of this and or the recipe, it was/is delicious and makes a great brunch or shower dish.
