School Project Permission

(Bow, New Hampshire, United States of America)

To whom it may concern,

Hello, our names are Laura Hoeker and Claire Aurilio. We are juniors at Bow High School in Bow, New Hampshire. As part of a project for our World Studies class, we have been assigned to research Bolivia.

Each year, our school hosts a "world's fair" in which every junior is assigned a different country to research all aspects of and present to the community. It is a great event in which the entire town comes together for a wonderful cultural experience and a way to "travel the world" in one afternoon.

We were wondering if you could provide us with anything unique to use at our booth as far as information, pictures, or even something physical such as flaps, brochure, currency or really anything to do with Bolivian culture would be of great help. We understand this is a huge request, however, we have struggled to find a contact because the United States doesn't have an embassy.

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Laura Hoeker and Claire Aurilio

Bolivian Embassy and Consulates in the US
by: BoliviaBella.com

Hi. Thanks so much for your question and for visiting our website. Your event sounds very fun! You may use photos from our website (you can print them out), if you credit BoliviaBella.com and if you don't upload them to any other website.

It would be difficult to send you something from Bolivia because the postal system is slow and generally unreliable (can take up to two months for a package to arrive in the US) however, there is actually a Bolivian Embassy and several Bolivian Consulates in the U.S., some of which might be helpful.

The embassy, specifically, should have a person called a "cultural attaché" or similar title in charge of cultural exchange. The Bolivian community in Washington DC is HUGE and very active with dances, fairs, etc. so I believe they may be able to help you.

If not, you can also try the consulate in DC or any of the other consulates of Bolivia in the US, all of which I am listing for you below. There is also an embassy of the United States in La Paz, Bolivia and they do have a cultural attaché:
