3 large cucumbers, peeled, diced (or thinly sliced, if you prefer)
1 cup white vinegar (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
Cheese as needed, chopped or diced
2 tomato, diced
Dash dried parsley flakes
Dash dried leaf basil (optional)How to prepare:
Combine all ingredients except cheese; mix well, add salt and vinegar (if you do not want to use cheese). Put cheese at the end and mix well once more. Herbs must be added at serving time.
This salad should be stored covered in refrigerator, it combines well with both hot and cold dishes. It usually goes with beefsteak, or is eaten with potatoes.
