What is the approximate total cost when applying for legal residency in Bolivia?

Everything I read says to expect to pay 'a lot' and to pay many different offices, but nothing tells me if I should expect to pay hundreds of dollars or thousands. Can someone give me a ballpark figure?

I paid a lawyer $500.00 US and he submitted my papers 30 days
after hiring him and I received my residency three weeks later.
Hire a lawyer, my part took four hours in one day to go to Interpol, the policia, and give blood for the aids test. Hire a laser, you will not regret it.

if you are from the united states it will cost you about 300 to 350 dollars or less to do it yourself...it is a bit difficult but there are many people that offer their service at a very fair price....
