Nearing retirement, my husband and I are wondering about relocating to Bolivia. He was born in Cochabamba. What advice do you have for us?

My wife and I are from Tampa area (Wesley Chapel) she was born in Santa Cruz, her parent live in Cochabamba. Right now you are not required to have a visa to enter into Bolivia. The new president has changed the requirements for US citizens. You can stay up to 90 days in a one year time frame. This website has the information need to get your residency. Did you get married in the US or in Bolivia, if you got married in the US you need to get your marriage license registered here in Bolivia. Some of the other things are INTERPOL police record check done in the city you plan on living in, a health certificate, letter saying why you want to retire here, and proof of financial stability, that just a few of the thing you will need. Just check out this wed site. Good Luck
