I went to Pan y Patio today, in Calacoto, near San Miguel. I love their Veneto salad - bed of lettuce, celery cut into little shaved curls, caramelized onions, candied walnut halves, and teeny pieces of blue cheese throughout. The salads are served in enormous square bowls and are a full meal all by themselves. If you plan to accompany with one of Pan y Patio's delicious paninis, pizzas, bruschettas, risottos or pastas, one salad is more than enough to be divided up between 2-3 people as a side salad.
