How to get a visa to Bolivia when there is no Bolivian consulate in your country
by: Ana

First I should clarify that Bolivian embassies do not issue visas. Visas are issued by Bolivian consulates. Sometimes a consulate is located inside the embassy building, but they are separate entities.

If there is no Bolivian consulate near you, you can request a visa from the Bolivian consulate in a country near to you. Sometimes one consulate is in charge of issuing visas for a specific region which may encompass several countries.

You can do it by mail but you must call and talk to them first to be sure you send in all the correct and necessary requirements.
