hotels in la Paz at lower altitude

Please tell me if the Hotel Rey Palace is at a lower altitude than the Presidente. What about are the altitudes of each?? You suggest sleeping in the Calocoto area, but I don't know where that is or what hotels are there.

Thanks very much.

hotels at the lowest altitude in La Paz
by: J

Does anyone have an update on hotels located in the lowest altitude of La Paz? I have had altitude sickness in other places and I am very worried about this part of Bolivia. The main reason I am going to Bolivia is for the Amazon area. I just need to get through the high altitude where I will be for 3-4 days. I want to sleep at the lowest part of the city if possible. I would appreciate any info.

hotels in southern la paz area
by: BoliviaBella

You might want to take a look at these hotels in the southern zone of La Paz. All are very nice and get good reviews on international traveler forums. The Río Selva is more of a family-style resort.

(when you get to their website click on "Aranjuez" because it covers all 4 Rio Selva hotels they own")
