Help me remember the name of this fruit from Tarija please?

I lived in Bolivia for two years and spent my first 3 months in Tarija. There was a fruit that I don't see listed here. It was small, pinkish on the inside, dark on the outside. I have a hard time describing it, but I know some people made jams with it too. Do you know what fruit I'm talking about? I can't remember the name.

I lived in Tarija two years. You are talking about higo (as they call it here) or fig in English. I'm completely sure because I have rented two houses and they both had higo trees and everyone loves them and goes on about them there, and they do make great jelly.

I doubt if it was a plum. There are so many kinds of plums in the U.S., he'd know what it was. Try again. I haven't been to Tarija in over 30 years, and I just remember grapes and figs, I think.
