Try Santo Tomas
by: LorriAnne

You might want to try Santo Tomas de Aquino in Santa Cruz. It's towards downtown, but not quite, on the western side of the city. It's very near the American consulate's office. School starts in early February. You didn't say which city you're headed to, but if it's Santa Cruz, you might want to try there. They have open enrollment, for the most part, except when classes are extremely full, and it's bilingual, with half in English and half in Spanish. The facilities are really really good, and the teachers are very friendly and love kids. It's a very family-friendly environment. http://www.santotomas.edu.bo/

Getting a space in a school for 2016
by: Marjorie Mindel-English Coordinator at St. Thomas College

Dear Cristina,
I work at St. Thomas College (2-yr-olds to seniors in high school.)
Although I think that there might now be spaces for Kindergarten or 1st grade this year, there might be a way to get native-English-speaking children into the school.
Do your children speak/understand/read/write Spanish? The 1st-3rd graders have English half a day and Spanish the other half a day.
2-yr-olds through Kindergarten go 3-4 hours a day, depending if they're in the morning or afternoon classes. From 1st grade on, all students enter at 7:50a.m. and leave at 4p.m. Monday through Friday only. There are also extra-curricular activities after 4p.m. and some on Saturday mornings.
Registration opens on January 18th, as the new school year begins on February 1st, and ends at the end of November.
There may be office personnel working from December 28th-31st or from January 4th on; I'm not sure.
In any case, the school's telephone numbers are (591)352-5490 and (591354-1661.
Good luck!
