Day trip to a Jesuits Mission - Tourism in Bolivia

Hello. Is it possible to make a day trip to San Javier from Santa Cruz? I will be staying in Santa Cruz for only three days and would very much to visit one of the Jesuits Missions.

I wonder if there is a very early bus or train I can take to either San Javier, Concepcion or San Jose and take a return trip later on the same day.

Day trips to the Jesuit Missions in Bolivia

A day trip to San Javier would be possible by bus if you are amenable to long rides. The trip from Santa Cruz to San Javier by bus is about 4 hours each way. The buses leave from the terminal bimodal (our combination bus and train station) starting at dawn.
