Bolivia Hotel Review: Hotel Victoria Plaza, Tarija, Bolivia

Hotel Victoria Plaza Tarija. You can’t get more central than right on the corner of the central plaza of historic downtown Tarija. The Victoria Plaza is one of Tarija’s oldest hotels and sits just across the street from the Prefecture, Mayor’s Office and other municipal government buildings. It’s just 3 blocks from the city’s first market place, many banks and tellers, money exchange houses, shops, restaurants, and more. The hotel is large and roomy, but furnishings and décor are basic. Still, if you're not looking for luxury, this means you can benefit from being right in the heart of the city for a very low price.

The Victoria Plaza Hotel has single, double, triple, and matrimonial rooms, each with a private bath, phone, cable TV and minibar. Internet is also available. The hotel offers meals in a midsized restaurant and bar on the lobby level. On the first floor it also has a large conference room and a small gift shop literally on the stairwell. There is also a garage for those who arrive by car. Although furnishings and décor are older and unassumming, its prime location at walking distance from everything plus its accessible pricing, is a real bonus combination. (Note: prices go up just slightly on New Year’s and during Carnaval week, but nearly double on important fair or conference dates).

The Hotel Victoria Plaza has a 3 star ranking.
