Bolivia Hotel Review: Hotel Luz Palace, Tarija, Bolivia

(Santa Cruz, Bolivia)

Hotel Luz Palace Tarija. This hotel’s exterior belies what you’ll find inside. Located 2 blocks up from the city’s central plaza in Tarija’s colonial-style old town, Hotel Luz Palace appears smallish from the outside but once you enter you’ll find a bright, airy interior lobby and a patio covered in a modernistic glass roof that lets the sun shine in. Also surprising is the large conference room located just to the right of this indoor foyer. Apple green sofas and glass doors in the lobby add to the sense of space.

Hotel Luz Palace is a three-storied hotel with comfortably furnished double, matrimonial and single rooms. Most of its rooms face the bright interior foyer and all have private baths, minibars and cable TV. On the first floor (not ground floor) you can enjoy a buffet breakfast in a well-lit glass encircled dining room overlooking the patio. The hotel also has internet service, phones in every room, fax service, laundry service, executive offices, and you can request a wake-up call from the receptionist. The hotel can also secure transportation to and from the airport or bus station for you.

The Prefecture of Tarija gives Hotel Luz Palace 3 stars.
