Bank statement security question - Bolivia travel visas

by Ryan
(South Dakota)

I am about ready to send out my visa Materials and have been thinking about security issues regarding my bank account number when I send the Consulate my bank statement. Is it okay to cover up my bank account number just to be on the safe side? I would really hate to have someone use that info to take money out of my account.

Black it out :)

We used photocopies of credit cards or bank account statements with the number blacked out to process our residency visas. You can do the same. If you are unsure and want to check, just call the consulate. The people there are usually more than happy to help (at least, that has been my experience over the last 6-7 years).

Hello, Here in Bolivia for residence visa applications people usually cover account numbers for safety. I am thinking that you can do the same in your case. Good luck with your paperwork.
