Your roar for tigers

by WWF

One of the main targets for WWF in 2010 is to get a solid political deal that will guarantee the survival of tigers in the wild. With as few as 3,200 still living in their ever decreasing habitat, the species is on the verge of extinction.

But the good news is that there has never been a better chance to guarantee the tiger's survival!

At the end of November heads of government from the 13 nations that are home to the remaining wild tiger populations will come together for a historic meeting: The Tiger Summit.

This is the first of its kind and a unique event, a defining moment for tiger conservation. And we must make it work!

This is why we have to turn it into a priority issue on the political agenda for all these countries and we need YOUR help to make that happen.

We need to make some noise. We need you to get in front of your computer and ROAR for tigers!

You have the choice of uploading a picture, video, or sound. You can even keep it really simple and just add a simple text message. Put in a solo performance or get together with friends, family or colleagues. Share it. Let's make ourselves heard!

Everyone who submits a roar will be counted in our petition that we will take to the Heads of Government when they meet. We'll also take some of the best roars with us to show at the Tiger Summit.

Stand up and ROAAAAR
