Would you like expats in Bolivia to personally answer your questions about moving to Bolivia or working and living in Bolivia?

by BoliviaBella Expat Services
(Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia)

Are you trying to decide whether retiring or living in Bolivia, working in Bolivia, volunteering or studying in Bolivia is a good match for you? Are you getting kind of tired of searching website after website for facts about Bolivia? Are you finding that the information available online about residency in Bolivia, visa requirements, customs and immigration is confusing? Are you wondering if you will be able to find a house to rent or property to buy, what the laws are, whether Bolivia has good schools and medical facilities, or whether you'll adapt, make friends, be able to learn Spanish? Are you worried that you won't be able to find a job? Maybe you're considering setting up your own business and you're not sure how to do that?

Don't feel overwhelmed. Living overseas, away from everything you are familiar with, isn't easy. It takes time to adapt. Mostly, though, the initial decision to move overseas is the most difficult, isn't it? I know. I've lived in several different countries including Ecuador and Bolivia and I've lived in nine U.S. states. I've moved over two dozen times in just over 40 years of life. I know all about the apprehensions, concerns, doubts, and worries about the "great unknown" that you might be experiencing. That's why I created and design BoliviaBella.com for you.

Believe it or not, there are hundreds of people just like yourself who have the same concerns and questions. I know. I'm the one who gets them all :) and people expect me to have all the answers. The truth is, even after living overseas for over half my life, I don't have the answers to ALL your questions. That's why I established a company called Expat Services and assembled a team to help you (and to help me help you!) You can read all about the numerous Expat Services we provide incoming foreigners in Bolivia, here.

But what if you aren't in Bolivia yet?
What if you're just researching?

When you send your inquiries to BoliviaBella.com, you are interacting with people who actually live and work in Bolivia. All of the information you receive is first-hand information based on personal experience and/or expertise. Since we receive up to several hundred messages a month at BoliviaBella.com, and since we make every attempt to respond to each one, we must limit our online time to ensure every website visitor possible will receive an answer from us.

Therefore, we now have a new service. We will respond to your first three questions free. After this, if you should require an in-depth analysis/opinion about a service you are seeking, you can submit your questions to us by email and we will charge a low flat fee of $30 dollars to answer up to 20 questions. This will allow us to prioritize our time and work more efficiently for you.

We use PayPal for all online transactions as it is the most secure way to pay online. You do not need to have a PayPal account. If you agree, we will send you a PayPal "request for payment" which allows you to pay directly to PayPal, either from a credit card or your bank account. We don't ask for any personal information. All we need is your email address and PayPal does the rest.

If you'd like some personal guidance about living and working in Bolivia, contact me using the secure contact form at the bottom of our Expat Services page and we will do everything we can to help you during your transition to overseas living. hippinng to Bolivia

Well my shipment is now i Santa Cruz customs,I have a aduana who wiil handle the details for picking them up. It took a week to get here from Arica, Chile. One thing, I had to pay $600.00 US, port fees before the trucking company woud unload to the customs wherehouse. I checked with my shipper, Inernational Van Linnes and they said the fees were currect, I told them they should have made it clear about these fees (of course they were in fine print
in the contract). All in all so far the shipping went smoothly, lets see how long it takes to get the items out of customs and how much it costs. Make sure you come with a speacial purpose visa, not a tourist, you can't make the change here and will have to leave the country to get one. I'll let you know how it goes.

Door to door services with Bolivia
by: French experience

Their is no door to door services in Bolivia.
On arrival your container will be unloaded in a custom warehouse and after clearing, reloaded in open truck to your door. with all the inconvenience this practice endure. Good luck!

Shipping from USA to Santa Cruz
by: Alan

I received from Inbolpak an estimate for shipping a
20 ft container from NYC to SC. The estimate was $15,000.00. Of course this included Puerta a Puerta service and packing/unpacking which I do not want. Can anyone give me a realistic estimate for this shipment or a reliable shipping/customs broker they have dealt with?
Thank you
Alan
