Where (address/phone) can I buy an uncooked leg of lamb in Santa Cruz, BO?

Do they sell the lamb in the places where they sell beef, at a butcher´s?

In the market? Which market?
In Hipermaxi or other grocery stores?

What is the price range /kilo?

The Hipermaxi grocery stores bring in leg of lamb about once a week and it sells very quickly. If you want to purchase one, you have to go the grocery store and put your name on a list. Usually you have to purchase the entire leg of lamb, which is quite large. I'm not sure about the prices. Last time I asked was a year ago and it was about Bs. 180 at the time for the entire leg - which I didn't purchase because I could never in a million years eat so much and at the time they wouldn't sell me less than the full leg.

Because of the holidays, they may be making an exception - you should ask. You might be able to purchase by the kilo this weekend, especially since Catholics won't be eating meat on Friday but I'm not sure if that means they won't eat lamb either (most opt for fish). The Hipermaxi on the 3rd ring and Avenida Banzer will probably have it but most likely they all do the same weekly thing.

Naturalia might be an option, although I haven't asked them.

You might also try the new HUGE supermarket called IC NORTE kitty-corner from the SONILUM on Avenida Busch and the 3rd ring.
