I am planning to be a missionary in Bolivia for one year. I am from the US. What is the best visa for me to have? What documentation do I need to bring with me? What entry visa do I need?
I heard that there is the option of getting a Religious Visa for up to 2 years at a time. It is supposed to be cheaper and easier to process than the residency itself. If the person is coming for one year would this be better?
Where can I find information on what is needed to process this?

Visa for Missionary of 1 year by: BoliviaBella
As with anyone who is moving to Bolivia and plans to request residency, you would have to enter the country on a "visa de objeto determinado" (specific purpose visa). This is an entry visa that shows you are coming for the specific purpose of requesting residency here.
Once you arrive in Bolivia, you have 30 days to process your residency application.
Not sure what country you are writing from, but you can see the requirements for requesting the visa from a Bolivian consulate in the US on the Washington DC consulate website (although you don't have to use that consulate to process your travel visa, you can use one closer to you).
