The 5th Santa Cruz Valley Producers, Cultural and Tourist fair is taking place today, Sunday 1 August 2010, at the Parque Urbano just across the street from the Don Bosco church. It is organized by the Mayor's Office of Santa Cruz, the Departmental Government, and the Center for Sustainable Human Participation and Development (Cepad). it began yesterday and one hundred producers from the provinces of Florida, Vallegrande, and Manual María Caballero are participating.

You'll find typical cruceño foods such as pork, duck, asadito, enrollado, chicharrón, tamales and humintas, fruit licquers, breads, empanadas, cookies, jams, and much more. You'll also find many lovely Bolivian handcrafts. It's worth a visit. It's small and nice for a Sunday stroll.
