Seafood Saltenas by: Chef Noly
Well, I can't give you my recipe but I will say that shrimp works very well in saltenas so give it a try. In fact, shrimp saltenas are so delicious that Noly's World Cuisine will be launching a shrimp salteña later this month.
Other shellfish might work too. If you use fish be careful that you don't over cook or under cook it. This can be tricky since you cook the filling before assembling salteñas and then cook it again when you bake the salteñas. Good Luck!

Hi Barry. You'll find some recipes for salteñas contributed by other website visitors on this page and near the bottom of this page. Read the whole salteña forum cuz some visitors give their tips on how they make salteñas. They aren't easy to make so it's really useful and as you'll see, some have made changes to the recipe and have invented their own.
I've never had nor heard of fish salteñas or ever seen one in Bolivia, but it sure sounds like an interesting project. If you happen to mess around with the recipe and adapt the filling and ingredients to come up with a cool fish salteña recipe it would be really awesome if you shared it with us!
