POET SOUL
You stole a seed from the garden of your soul and planted it in mine borrowed a light ray from the sun and hung it up to shine
And where the clouds float heavily upon my garden within you brought the warmth of summer air to melt them away again
You tilled the earth of my poet soul and nourished it with your tears and pulled from it the weeds of all my sorrows and my fears
You whispered to my little seed encouraging it to grow and held it once more in your hands before you turned to go
someday that little seed will rise to brightly bloom and flower and color the air of my garden soul with newly awakened power
