Bolivian Christmas Bread
by: Bella

Paneton is so popular here the stores sell it until they all sell out and people just keep buying them up! Panetón is also very popular in January because of...

JANUARY 6TH - DIA DE LOS REYES MAGOS! This is the day Bolivians celebrate the arrival of the three Wise Men bearing gifts for baby Jesus. People traditionally give children gifts on January 6th too! And they do "chocolatadas".

Chocolatadas are like tea parties only with hot chocolate, usually accompanied by cookies, cake or panetón, as this may the last chance to enjoy panetón until the end of the year when Christmas arrives again.

Thanks for the recipe Chef Noly! Now we can enjoy it any day of the year.
