If you've EVER considered your own website as a means to go into business for yourself, I believe there is probably no better time than NOW to invest in yourself! When the economy is doing well, we tend to slip into a comfort zone. Thoughts like "I'd like to own my own business" end in "someday..."But with the economy in a virtual shambles at this time, and every other investment you've made losing value by the minute, aren't YOU your own best investment? Aren't YOU the only sure thing you've got right now? Now, if you know yourself well and you KNOW you aren't a good time manager, you're not responsible or reliable, or you're never on time, or you just honestly are NOT the kind of person who could ever own their own company, then you're probably right! You are the best judge of who you are and what your capabilities are. But if you do dream of owning your own business and you feel capable of it and you've just been holding out for that one "perfectly right time" that never seems to arrive (because perfect timing doesn't really exist), then I'd say the same thing goes for you. Here's why and how I do it
People always ask me why I chose to build this site, and often also ask me how. Would you believe I never set out to build my own website? A little background: First the WHY: "Bolivia! Oh, that’s in Africa, right?" (and lest you think I'm joking, someone started a Facebook group about it) - "Do you have to ride a donkey to school?" - "Are there buildings in Bolivia?" - "Are there toilets in Bolivia?" - "Are there cars in Bolivia?" - "How many coca leaves does it take to make cocaine?" I'm supposed to know? Then one day a famous President (nevermind which one) told the world how glad he was he had studied Latin in school so he could speak with the people of Latin America (???) and followed up by saying he was so happy to be visiting Bolivia. Only he wasn't in Bolivia. He was in Brazil. And that's when I decided I had to get Bolivia back on the map!
