Hubert H. Humphrey was the son of Hubert Humphrey Sr, and Ragnild Kristine Sannes was the Norwegian Mother of Hubert H. Humphrey.
Hubert H. Humphrey brought his high level of energy and used that energy to fight against Anti-Semitism and Discrimination against
Blacks, Native Americans, Minorities, and the Indigenous people within the United States of America. In 1948 Hubert H. Humphrey under his leadership expressed his impassioned plea urging a strong Civil Rights Movement at the 1948 Democratic National Convention with his fiery speech defending the Civil Rights Movement. In 1948 Hubert H. Humphrey was elected to the United States Senate making him the first Democreat from Minnesota.
Senator Hubert H. Humphrey served in the Senate until he was elected as Vice President of the United States under President Johnson in 1964, and in 1968 Senator Hubert H. Humphrey had lost the Democratic National vote to Richard M. Nixon by 1% of the Popular Vote. And in
1980, President Jimmy Carter awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Senator Hubert H. Humphrey regarding the Civil Rights Bill that was passed in Congress in 1964.
