It is not the city of La Paz Bolivia, it could be the city of Sucre.

this church certainly isnt san francisco church and it is not the (front of the) cathedral on plaza murillo either.
Having live in La Paz for 5 years and now know it pretty well im not convinced this is in La Paz. it seems like it faces onto a sizeable plaza somewhere and i think I would remember - but i might be wrong. The most annoying thing is , I think i recognise it from somewhere. Ill keep thinking!

I don't think it's San Francisco either. Unless St. Francis and San Francisco are two different churches? It would be great if Wilson could let us know.

Can it be the same? Looking at various photos of La iglesia de S. Francisco online, the facade is totally different; the old photo shows 3 towers (twin bell towers flanking a central facade) close together, a statue set into the facade near the top of the central facade, a large rosette below the statue, numerous statues adorning the entire facade, and a stairway of about a dozen steps leading up to the entry portal. None of this is evident in the pictures of St. Francis. Unless the church in the photo has been totally rebuilt, it does not appear to be the St. Francis church in any photo I can find of La Paz. Can you give me the address or at least the street? I'd appreciate it.
