Manqua Restaurante in La Paz Bolivia - Impressed.

I'm an avid food lover, having been living abroad for a few years I have had the opportunity of trying dishes through North and South America, Asia and soon enough Europe.


I came to know Manqua from a friend I have in La Paz. I was impressed. Their risotto is to die for and paired with a great wine (which they have quite a few) it was a great experience. I topped it off with their "tres texturas de chocolate", which was a delightful chocolate experience.

I would say their service was a bit slow and I had some trouble parking, but all in all a great experience.

My compliments to the chef.

Nada bueno en boca

Mucho ambiente decoracion y fanfarroneria que no esta mal pero de sabor nada que recordar el cucurucho de hojalfre y trucha horrible y el rizoto muy lacteo. No lo recomiendo.

Personalmente puedo decir que me encantó la decoración y la cava, sin embargo uno va al restaurante por la comida y ahí quedé un poco frustrada, de 7 personas en la mesa, 6 nos quedamos con el mal sabor porque los distintos platos no llegaron a cumplir expectativas. Me referiré al cerdo con salsa de maracuyá: si bien el cerdo tenia buen sabor apenas pude notar algo de maracuyá, supongo que el mesero notó esta decepción y me trajo un poco más de salsa. El plato estaba acompañado de unas papas rellenas que no tenían mucho sabor (por no decir ninguno). La combinación: SECA. Sobre el postre de chocolate no quedé impresionada, ni por el sabor ni la presentación.
