Kumon in Bolivia

ESPAÑOL The Kumon learning method was developed 50 years ago by Toru Kumon, a teacher from Japan. In an effort to help his child excel in school, he created a math and language teaching method so successful that his son was able to do calculus by the time he was in sixth grade. Kumon Bolivia He believes that there is nothing a child cannot do, and that all children have untapped potential. His method is specially designed to unlock their abilities. With centers in 44 countries including 19 centers in Bolivia, this method has helped more students succeed worldwide than any other after-school program.

My longtime friend Ken Shimabukuro is the National Coordinator for Bolivia. He truly believes in this method and so do I. The learning method is based on self-motivated learning. Children like his and mine begin as early as 3 years of age and work at their own pace. They attend classes twice a week for one hour each day. They can take either math or language modules, or you can enroll them in both. Kumon Bolivia

At a cost of about $40 a month per module, children who attend these classes rank well above others in their age groups. Aside from learning language and math, children also learn self-motivation and discipline, develop improved concentration and good study habits, have greater self-confidence and exhibit a better sense of accomplishment.

There are 10 Kumon centers throughout the city of Santa Cruz, 7 in La Paz, and 2 in Cochabamba. For more information about Kumon in Bolivia, contact Ken Shimabukuro at ken.shimabukuro@kumonla.com (he speaks fluent English, Spanish, French and Japanese) or visit www.kumonla.com (website in Spanish and Portuguese) or www.kumon.com (the North American site) for information in English.
