There are a couple of good Japanese restaurants in Santa Cruz. The food they serve is authentic Japanese fare consisting of a lot of vegetables, seafood and rice, as well as sushi.

There is a large, very united Japanese community in the Santa Cruz area, many of which are involved in agriculture. Others are very successful businesspeople. Thanks to this, we have a couple of great Japanese eateries in town, listed below:

RESTAURANT YORIMICHI
Av. Busch 548
Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia
Tel: (591-3) 334-7717

RESTAURANT JAPONÉS
Ave. Beni 2010
Edif. Centro Social Japonés
Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia
Tel: (591-3) 345-1368

LA PAILA DE ORO
(Specializes in Sushi)
Av. Viedma 535
Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia
Tel: (591-3) 335-4554

RESTAURANT KEN
Edif. Sociedad Japonesa 2do. Piso
Av. Uruguay No. 730
Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia
Tel: (591-3) 333-3728

Yorimichi is located on a main social thoroughfare that tends to get quite loud and agitated on weekend nights, but the area is very quiet and serene during the week. The Restaurant Japonés is run by the Japanese Social Club and is located about 10 minutes from downtown in a much quieter neighborhood. Both are good. Dress is casual but nice.
