Hi, My husband and I are volunteering in Bolivia, and have obtained specific purpose visas to do so. We have been approved to be in-country for the 180 days during our volunteer assignment, but wondered if it is possible to renew the specific purpose visa for another 180 days rather than apply for residency. Is it required for us to apply for residency within the 30 day window if we think we will be extending our stay beyond the 180 days?
