Bolivia Bella is unique: it provides information exclusively about the Eastern region of the country, specifically the Department of Santa Cruz and its capital city Santa Cruz de la Sierra, although the 'Bolivia' section provides many interesting national facts and maps. Hi, I'm your webmaster "Bella" (also an expatriate, but 'no longer a foreigner' here) and I've lived, worked and traveled in different parts of the country throughout the past 30 years. I've gone to great lengths to include highly organized, narrowly targeted information in English for travelers and tourists, businesspeople and professionals, students, volunteers, and expatriates.
You'll get your information straight from the source and you'll benefit from the first-hand advice, knowledge and tips provided including maps and photos, listings and descriptions, and personally hand-picked recommendations! Why? Find out more about my ulterior motives and why I am boldly biased here: About Bella.
You will find interesting information on Bolivia's people, culture, history, geography, climate, natural resources, and more. In addition, you'll have direct access to important specific reviews and local resources on…
                • Best sites for tourism and ecotourism
                • Great travel agencies and favorite hotels
                • Bolivian food and recipes and listings of the best restaurants
                • Meet some of the local wildlife
                • Traditions, folklore, arts and entertainment
                        …and much more!!
You won't find hundreds of links to other sites. I’m dedicated to sharing first-hand facts only, so I add information continuously. And if I still haven't done enough to make you want to get on the first flight to the heart of South America, tell me what you're looking for! I just might have some insider's tips stashed away somewhere. Questions? Tell Bella!
Introducing Our New BELLA KIDS Section: You may on occasion come across a page with a green banner atop it, like the one below. These are pages that have been included on BoliviaBella's BOLIVIA FOR KIDS section and have been placed there to make it easy for kids to navigate the site from the BELLA KIDS home page. This does NOT mean grown-ups aren't allowed or that the information the page contains isn't relevant to you (many pages were written for adults first and linked to the BELLA KIDS sections later). Visit the BELLA KIDS school project section for kids, teachers and parents. You can also navigate to this page from every other page on the site - just click on the little green link found at the bottom of every page and let Kricket give you a tour of Bolivia.
