How do I register my divorce from a Bolivian citizen if I no longer live in Bolivia?

If I was married in Bolivia to a Bolivian, then moved overseas and divorced overseas, how to I ensure my divorce is also registered in Bolivia?

Registering your divorce from a Bolivian citizen
by: Anonymous

You need to locate the Bolivian consulate or Embassy in your country and register your divorce with them. They will send the records to Bolivia and your divorce will be recorded in Bolivia as well. This is done through the Bolivian "Cancillería".

If for some reason in the future you need a copy of the registration of your divorce in Bolivia, you would proceed in a similar manner, seeking out the Bolivian embassy or consulate nearest you to request copies of the documentation be sent to you from Bolivia.

Since not all countries have embassies and consulates, some are regional. If you country does not have one, see www.embassyworld.com and find the Bolivian consulate nearest you and ask which one covers your region.
