How can I find apartments in Santa Cruz?

by DCS
(USA)

I am planning on traveling to Bolivia and spending about two month in Santa Cruz. What are the current apartment rental prices? Also are there any good websites that someone in the States can go on, to look for apartments in Santa Cruz?

Apartments in Sucre
by: David

Hi,
Me and my girlfriend are planning to travel in Bolivia from January to April, and at some point, we are planning to rent an apartment for a month or two in Sucre or La Paz. We are still weighing our options. Any suggestions? Anyone has a place?

Short term apartments in Santa Cruz
by: BoliviaBella.com

There are few places in Santa Cruz that offer short-term apartments, but there are some.

You could try AIRBNB

https://www.airbnb.es/s/Santa-Cruz-de-la-Sierra--Bolivia

You could also try Terrasol Apartments downtown:

http://www.terrasolapartamentos.com/

Please be aware that most short-term apartment owners do ask for a 1-2 month deposit even if you are only going to stay a few months.

Some of the hotels offer rooms by the month and it's actually not much more expensive than renting an apartment, in some cases (depending on the hotel).

There was a page on Facebook on rooms (not apartments) for students, I will try to find it for you, if you are interested in just rooms (let me know).

Short term apartment rent - 6 People
by: Anonymous

Hello, I have recently moved to Santa Cruz de la Sierra for part of a reaseach project for university. There are 6 of us in total who are looking for an apartment/apartments. Any recommendations where we start? We will only be here for four months so serviced apartments might be more suitable.

Thanks Neal

Apt in Santa Cruz
by: Shiva

Hi

I came to Boston for a couple of months but then I decided to stay until 2014 so my apartment back in Santa Cruz is all furnished and available in the most strategic, safe and best place in Santa Cruz. It has two bedroom, living room, kitchen with all appliances. It is located two blocks from El Cristo and a walking distance to Monseñor Rivero, a street full of restaurants, coffee shops, banks, supermarkets, etc. And it is 5 min by taxi to the down town.

Email me if you are interested.

Need to place an add to sale a property
by: Anonymous

how can I place an add for sale of a property in the newspaper. I browsed the entire page and does not give me a place to place the add. can anyone help me on this.

Response: You need to go to the offices of the newspaper, whichever newspaper it is you plan to place your ad in. You have to take with you the exact text you want them to publish. See our page on newspapers: www.boliviabella.com/newspaper.html

welcome to the crazy world of SCZ property prices
by: Alison D, Santa Cruz

Hi! A good place to start is www.eldeber.com.bo (the website of SCZ's newspaper). Go to "clasificados" via a link near the top left corner, then "inmuebles" from the dropdown menu.

If you are only staying two months then that probably puts you in the category of serviced apartments (where they provide everything, including cutlery and sheets). There should be some listings in El Deber or you can google Terrasol apartments or Hotel Buganvillas for example.

Prices will start at about US$500 (plus elec) per month for a one-bed serviced apartment.

Properties intended for locals or long-stayers are often let unfurnished (nothing in the kitchen either) and for a minimum of six months.

I hope that provides a good starting point and good luck. Let us know if you need any more help
