by Mayra V.
(Cochabamba, Bolivia)

Hello Bella, love your site. I would like to know if there are hotels in La Guardia which have cooking facilities and where one could pay on a weekly or monthly basis. Also I would like to know the price, and the contact info for this hotels. Right now I am living in Cochabamba and from here it is very difficult to find this info since we don´t know anyone in La Guardia. Thanks for having these forums. M.V.

There are a lot of hotels in Bolivia and most of them are affordable. So you don’t worry about the accommodation facility in Bolivia. If you didn’t visit Bolivia, then don’t wait for long time. Go and enjoy your holidays!

Hotels in the La Guardia, SCZ, BO area
by: TB

Hello! I am a huge Boliviabella fan too! Also, I live in La Guardia, in the outskirts, however.

Yes, there are places to stay, located on/near the Doble Via.

There are rooms (hostel-like) for rent @ 40Bs./night. in the center of La Guardia.

There are quaint, motel-like rooms to rent with an outdoor pool, maybe a gym, in the area close to La Guardia, on the way from Santa Cruz.

However, those places don´t have cooking facilities.

My suggestion would be to stay at a certain quinta/bed and breakfast (...lunch and dinner, too) located in San Jose, near a market, 5Km. from La Guardia, off the Doble Via. It has a family home-like atmosphere. The owners would be happy to prepare fresh, delicious, healthy meals for you --OR-- give you full use of the kitchen, whichever you prefer. Children are most welcome. The views from their hillside quinta are magnificent. The owners speak fluent English, Spanish and German. They are also available to help you with tourism during your stay.

More info available upon request... Tell Bella!
