Could anyone recommend a decent, clean hotel in Trinidad? We will be staying here for approx 8 weeks with 2 small kids. Internet/wifi would be nice. Swimming pool also ;-D Shortstay apartment also appreciated!
When you contact Ernesto ask him if there is any possibility he could help you get a monthly rate at one of the hotels. It might be an option. He's really well known in Beni.

Hotel in Trinidad Beni Bolivia by: BoliviaBella.com
Hi Jo. The nicest hotel in Trinidad is just 1/2 block from the central plaza. If I'm not mistaken, it's also one of the only ones with a pool. It's called the Hotel Campanario and also has internet/wifi etc.
Just across the street there are two cheaper hotels (not as nice but cheaper) called the Hotel Monteverde, and the Beni Hotel. Neither has a pool or internet, but there is an internet café almost right next door. All three hotels are right across or next to each other. The main plaza, restaurants, shopping etc. are all within one block.
I've stayed at all three and been comfy in all, although the Campanario is my first choice for longer stays.
I'm not personally aware of any short stay apartments, but the person who would probably know that is Ernesto Roda. He's the owner of Moxos Tours.
He has a daughter who speaks really REALLY good English and the whole family is sweet as can be. They help me out every time I send someone to Trinidad.
The Department of Beni has been experiencing flooding lately (for the past few weeks) but from what Ernesto tells me (spoke to him a week ago), things are fine in town.
If you are going to spend 8 weeks in Trinidad, do NOT miss a chance to take the Pink River Dolphins - it's a tour down the Ibare River where you can see the dolphins.
Also, just 15 minutes from town you might want to spend a day or weekend at Chuchini. It's an ecological and archeological reserve. It has cabins and they also give the river tour and other stuff. See my page and all the fun I had. It's a GREAT treat for kids!!! They are an animal refuge and your kids could see the animals that are being treated and taken care of.
Should you choose to visit Moxos Tours and/or Chuchini, and tell them BoliviaBella sent you. They're good friends and they'll give you a great welcome. You can contact them through the pages I've linked into this message.
