Looking for a job in Santa Cruz de la Sierra by: Marjorie Mindel
The academic year south of the equator starts in February and ends in November/December. However, some universities have modular schedules, as do most English-language institutes. The "American School" Santa Cruz Cooperative School, runs on a northern schedule, August to June. You might want to see if they're short an English teacher for the 2016 school year. There are several all English-speaking private schools (Kindergarten through high school) in Santa Cruz de la Sierra: Cambridge College (British-based), the American School, Santa Cruz International School and Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center. The English-intensive schools that I know of are: Saint Thomas of Aquinas (my employer), Saint George, the German School (off the top of my head). Don't expect American wages, but a moderate standard of living is feasible. Good luck!
